Other Useful Information

Library

The Library is open to all students who are currently enrolled on a course at the College. The learning resources include books, DVDs (and videos), journals and newspapers and many more electronic resources available 24/7 from College
or from home via the Library website. Most items are available for loan and you can renew anything you borrow online via the website. You will need your College card to use any of the resources in the Library and we can easily make you another if you have lost it. It will cost you £1 to replace.

Resources can be borrowed from other libraries through the Inter-Library loan system. Details are on the, Library website.

Within the Library there are 36 computers with internet access and a further 10 laptops for HE students. The computers run on Windows. They all have software packages which include Office Professional (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher). In addition, we can offer free WiFi access to the internet if you want to use your own laptop in the College Library.

All Library staff are knowledgeable and happy to help you find information and help you use computers even if you are not familiar with IT. Other resources in the Library include a careers collection, a journal article bank and a fiction collection. In the Library you will find a variety of different study spaces e.g. group study, individual study and a separate silent study room.

There is a laminator, a binder and photocopiers (black and white or colour) that you can use at a charge. You will be charged for material brought back late. Details can be found at the Library issue counter or on the website.

Please note that we will have to make a charge for any books that are returned defaced.
