Before you consider applying for a course, it is a good idea to work out how you are going to fund it. Making financial decisions at the outset strongly increases the likely completion of your course and therefore your success.
However, student finance can be very complicated and if you are not sure what you might be entitled to you should book an appointment to see a Welfare Officer in Student Welfare. You can do this by telephoning 01284 716 319.
Learner Support Fund - You need to be 19 or over
Applications for the Discretionary Learner Support Fund for students of 19 over are now open. The 19+ Discretionary Learner Support Fund is available to those over who have a personal income of less than £19,000.

Bursary Fund - You need to be 16-18
If you are aged 16-19 and your household income is lower than £19,000 or less, you may be eligible for a bursary to assist with transport or equipment.
