Transport

West Suffolk College is just outside Bury St Edmunds town centre, a short walk from both bus and rail stations and only minutes from the A14 (Bury St Edmunds West) junction.

Getting to College is easy as from most locations there is a bus which will bring you to College.

Travel Assistance (16-18)

Suffolk County Council suggest students use the normal public transport routes where this is affordable. Some operators now offer 10/12 journey tickets or monthly/annual season tickets which may make this option more affordable. Students may also apply for assistance through the County Council’s post-16 transport policy, which, at least for another term, costs £130 per term. Finally Suffolk County Council are offering students a half price ticket through the post 16 scheme for the summer term, which will take the students up to May half term (that is Friday 27 May). The cost of this is £65 and equates to travel costs of £3 per day. If students only attend for 3 days a week the daily cost would be £4 per day. This is a one off deal for the coming term . For more information contact Suffolk County Council Transport Unit on 08456066173.

Parking

Limited parking is available for students at the College which is subject to charges. Alternative parking is available at the nearby Parkway multi-story car park.
