Designed for

Candidates who are involved in the management of the assessment process of NVQ.  Assessment is carried out in the delegate’s workplace.  This award recognises the crucial role of the Internal Verifier in the NVQ process.  Candidates should be experienced assessors and hold either D32/33 or A1 Award.  Delegates must be occupationally competent in the field they intend to internally verify.

Course Content

Candidates will attend a training seminar at West Suffolk College from 9.30pm – 4.30pm for one day.  The seminar section provides delegates with the knowledge and understanding for the completion of the Unit V1:  Conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process.

• The Internal Verifier as Quality Manager
• Systems and Procedures for Assuring Quality
• Meeting External Quality Assurance Requirements
• Providing Guidance and Support to Assessors

• Final Assessment and Verification of the Portfolio
