This is an NICEIC Accredited Course. Delegates will receive a Domestic Installer Scheme Qualification Certificate following successful completion of the assessments for all the competencies

Multiple Choice Exam: 1 hour 40 minutes
Practical Assessment: 2 hours

Designed For

Five days, plus one half day for practical assessments arranged by the course tutor.

Course Content

This course is specifically designed for experienced installers, currently carrying out electrical work in dwellings, who have no formal electrical qualifications or training.

  • Applicable Building Regulations
  • Checking the correct and safe operation of installed electrical components
  • Electrical Safety legislation, regulations standards and terminology
  • Recording of electrical test results and completion of certification
  • Pre work survey/inspection Installing and/or rerouting cables

  • Identification of unsafe electrical situations
  • New circuit requirements
  • Earthing and bonding requirements
  • Lighting installations
  • Electrical test procedures
