This programme is designed to address the needs of experienced trainers who wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification.  The NVQ 4 in Management of Learning and Development is primarily aimed at those who deliver government funded training programmes.  Candidates should be in work fulfilling a role which enables them to generate the evidence needed to compile a portfolio.  Candidates may use the units from this award to work towards another Learning and Development in the same suite.

Course Content

LEVEL 4 Management of Learning and Development Provision. – 8 units.

6 mandatory:

• Manage the performance of teams and individuals
• Evaluate and develop own practice
• Develop a strategy and plan for learning and development
• Identify the learning and development needs of the organisation
• Evaluate and improve learning and development programmes
• Develop a strategy and plan to provide all people resources for the organisation

Plus 2 options:

• Manage the use of financial resources
• Review health and Safety procedures in the workplace
• Identify individual learning aims and programmes
• Design learning programmes
• Prepare and develop resources to support learning
• Manage the contribution of other people to the learning process
• Conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process
