My apprenticeship has had an amazing impact on my career. 'When I left school I was unsure of what I wanted to do; I just knew I didn't want a regular nine to five job in an office...an apprenticeship seemed a perfect opportunity.
Working with the same few guys all the time means I know them really well and get on with them all really well. It means we all can have a laugh and a joke all the time. They're all great at their jobs which means I learn a lot from all their experience. So being happy in your work definitely means happier at the end of the day when I go home.
The greatest achievement you can have is simple, being able to stand and look at the finished project. You can see what you achieved and be proud of the high standard to which the work was done...'
