West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust is applying to become a NHS Foundation Trust. So what does this mean for your local hospital? As a NHS Foundation Trust we will still be part of the NHS but the big difference is we will be a membership based organisation, accountable to our local community.
We are looking for public members, you must be 16 years or over. As a member you will have a vital role in helping to shape the future of local healthcare services. You can also put yourself forward as a prospective Governor and if elected you will sit on the Board of Governors.
This is an exciting time for the West Suffolk Hospital and an opportunity for you to be more involved in what we do. If you are interested in your health and well being and that of your family, or you are looking for a career in health then you should think about becoming a public member of your local hospital.
